Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer with strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence to support enterprise-scale reporting and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing interactive dashboards, developing enterprise reports, optimizing SQL queries, and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver scalable reporting solutions. Experience in the Financial Services domain, particularly Fixed Income, Equities, and Derivatives, is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc reporting solutions.
Gather and analyze business requirements by collaborating closely with business users and stakeholders.
Develop scalable data models using Power Query and Power Pivot.
Create and optimize complex DAX calculations and measures.
Build Paginated Reports using Power BI Report Builder.
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries against SQL Server or other relational databases.
Support enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence reporting solutions.
Work with Databricks to integrate and analyze large-scale datasets.
Analyze reporting requirements and recommend optimal BI solutions.
Manage report development throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Troubleshoot reporting issues and provide timely resolutions.
Prioritize multiple assignments while delivering high-quality reporting solutions in fast-paced environments.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Dashboard Development
Expertise in Power BI Report Builder
Experience creating Paginated Reports
Strong knowledge of Power Query
Strong knowledge of Power Pivot
Advanced DAX development and optimization
Excellent SQL programming skills
Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
Data Warehousing concepts and implementation
Business Intelligence (BI) and Reporting Systems
OLAP and Multidimensional Data Modeling
Relational Database Design
Query Performance Tuning and Optimization
Experience working with Databricks
Enterprise Reporting Solutions
Business Analysis and Requirement Gathering
Full Project Lifecycle (SDLC) experience
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Experience working in Financial Services
Knowledge of Fixed Income, Equities, and Derivatives
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Power BI Data Flows
Experience with PBRS (Power BI Report Server)
Familiarity with Power On
Experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse
Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics platforms
Experience delivering reporting solutions in Agile environments
