U-Haul is looking for a detail‑oriented individual who relishes variety and feels at home around all kinds of technology. The Field Computer Specialist will manage all computer and security systems across assigned locations, traveling to maintain equipment and train users. • Maintain maximum uptime for computer systems and associated broadband connectivity.
• Implement and maintain field computer systems for all entities within the assigned area.
• Support and train users as needed.
• Distinguish between user error and problems that require escalation to other support teams or software vendors.
• Identify and coordinate solutions for security gaps and compliance issues.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U‑Haf education through U‑Haf University.
• Provide support for all technology, electronics, and security matters within the organization.
• Travel to sites to maintain equipment and train users.
• Use a company‑provided van, tools, necessary electronic devices and a company‑paid mobile phone.
• Be on call and available to respond physically, if necessary, seven days a week.

• Experience with technologies such as networking, administration, security‑monitoring equipment, storage gates, alarm systems, doors, digital video equipment, printers, computers, VoIP, analog phones, air phones and cash drawers.
• Current, valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience with electrical 120‑V and low‑voltage wiring, conduit work, Windows PCs, tablets, printers, iOS devices, burglar alarm systems, PTI access control systems, security camera systems, DVR/NVRs, coax and IP, door hardware and lock installation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and capability to learn new technologies.

The work requires frequent physical exertion, including long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs, assisted or unassisted.

Moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritating chemicals. Protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields may be required.
