Our client, a mission-driven organization delivering community-based services across the New York metropolitan area, relies on innovative technology to strengthen care coordination, operational efficiency, and service delivery. They're hiring a Field & Cloud Services Technician to help maintain the stability, performance, and security of their enterprise systems, cloud services, and end-user environments.
This is a hybrid role: 3 days on-site or traveling and 2 days remote, supporting locations across the NYC boroughs with frequent travel between sites. Reliable transportation (or an equivalent means of travel) is required to visit program locations as needed. The position combines hands-on systems administration with field service leadership and supports ongoing modernization efforts, including workstation upgrades, cloud integrations, and new IT deployments.
It also includes a rotating on-call schedule with weekend coverage and incident response.
- Support cloud-managed Windows desktops, laptops, shared workstations, and mobile devices using Microsoft Intune and related endpoint tools.
- Deploy Intune policies, applications, compliance settings, and configuration profiles, and run device actions.
- Troubleshoot Intune enrollment, Autopilot failures, device registration conflicts, stale records, and compliance issues.
- Diagnose device configuration problems, including failed app deployments, Bit Locker policy errors, Defender settings, and Windows Update failures.
- Support Autopilot provisioning, device prep, user assignment, hardware replacement, and post-deployment validation.
- Resolve performance, authentication, and connectivity issues across Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, Edge).
- Use Intune, Entra , and the Microsoft 365 Admin Center to review alerts, compliance status, device health, and sign-ins.
- Support remote patching via Windows Update for Business, including quality, feature, and driver updates.
- Provide hands-on support at offices, residences, clinics, day programs, and other program locations across the region.
- Serve as an escalation point for field issues requiring advanced troubleshooting or on-site validation.
- Install, replace, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, thin clients, printers, mobile devices, docking stations, monitors, phones, and network equipment.
- Support hardware refreshes, workstation upgrades, office moves, facility expansions, and new site openings.
- Support video conferencing and conference room systems, Teams-enabled devices, headsets, displays, and collaboration tools.
- Coordinate with users, managers, vendors, and technical teams to schedule visits and minimize disruption.
- Troubleshoot basic Layer 2/Layer 3 issues, including VLANs, switch ports, gateways, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, and routing.
- Diagnose wired and wireless connectivity problems (patch cabling, switch ports, SSID access, roaming, authentication, Wi-Fi performance).
- Use switch management interfaces, endpoint diagnostics, and network monitoring tools to validate connectivity and site health.
- Escalate complex network issues to infrastructure, network, carrier, or vendor teams with clear documentation.
- Perform structured cabling runs (Cat5e/Cat6), terminations, and labeling.
- Install and support IP-based security cameras and NVR systems.
- Mount and deploy network and AV equipment to organizational and safety standards.
- Coordinate with vendors on larger installations.
- Support cloud desktop rollouts, endpoint standardization, relocations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Assist with testing, validation, and user onboarding.
- Mentor junior technicians and provide end-user training.
- Create and maintain SOPs, documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- 2+ years in IT field services, enterprise desktop support, endpoint support, or a similar role.
- Experience supporting multiple remote sites or distributed users.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, M365 Apps).
- Experience with cloud-managed desktops (Intune, AVD, Windows 365, or similar) and knowledge of Azure/Entra .
- Hands-on hardware deployment and basic networking (switching, Wi-Fi, troubleshooting).
- Cabling and low-voltage installation experience (preferred); camera/security system installation (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage priorities, travel between sites, and work independently.
