Job Description

C.T. Male Associates, an employee‑owned, multi‑discipline engineering, architectural, and land‑surveying firm based in the Capital Region, is seeking a motivated IT Technician to join our team in Latham, NY.

This is more than a help desk role. You’ll be at the center of keeping our organization running smoothly, empowering our staff with the technology they need to do their best work. In this full‑time, in‑office position, you’ll work alongside a collaborative and forward‑thinking IT team, gaining hands‑on experience across a wide range of systems and technologies. What

You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be a trusted resource for technical support and infrastructure reliability. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common problems.
  • Deliver consistent PC setups, onboarding/offboarding support, and hardware replacements by following detailed checklists.
  • Update hardware and software components as required.
  • Provide responsive, user‑focused technical support across the firm.
  • Maintain network users, user environments, directories, printing operations, and basic, low‑tier tasks supporting network security.
  • Diagnose and solve hardware problems.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Requirements

We’re seeking a candidate who brings a mix of technical foundation, curiosity, and strong people skills:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school.
  • One (1) year minimum of related experience.
  • Experience with networks preferred.
  • Working knowledge of operating systems and troubleshooting software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license.
