A leading high‑frequency trading firm is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to manage and evolve a high‑performance, low‑latency infrastructure estate. This role sits within a core infrastructure team responsible for the stability, performance, and scalability of trading‑critical systems.

You’ll be working in an environment where microseconds matter, supporting a diverse fleet of Linux servers underpinning trading, research, and market data platforms.

• Manage and maintain a large‑scale Linux server environment across trading and research systems
• Support and optimise low‑latency infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance
• Own and improve core services including DNS, networking, and system‑level tooling
• Automate operational workflows using Python and other scripting languages
• Troubleshoot complex system and performance issues across hardware, OS, and network layers
• Collaborate with network engineers, SREs, and trading teams to enhance system reliability

• Strong experience administering Linux systems in a performance‑critical environment
• Solid understanding of low‑latency infrastructure and tuning (CPU, memory, kernel, networking)
• Experience managing DNS and core networking services
• Proficiency in Python for automation and tooling
• Strong troubleshooting skills across systems and infrastructure layers
• Experience in trading, finance, or similarly latency‑sensitive environments is highly desirable
