Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Design Technologist III to join the Events Technology & Marketer Experience organization. In this role you will sit at the intersection of design and engineering, translating ambitious product visions into polished, production-quality front-end experiences that reach hundreds of thousands of attendees at AWS re:
Invent and across our global events.
You will own the front-end craft for the AWS Events Mobile App and our AI experiences. You thrive in ambiguity, prototype at high velocity, and ship pixel-perfect interfaces that delight customers at scale.
Key job responsibilities- Design and develop front-end features for the AWS Events Mobile App (React Native), delivering seamless cross-platform experiences for iOS and Android.
- Translate UX wireframes and high-fidelity mockups into responsive, accessible, and performant mobile components.
- Work backwards from customer experience to ideate and rapidly prototype new app concepts, validate ideas through user testing, and iterate to production readiness.
- Own and evolve the mobile design system, ensuring consistency across screens and releases.
- Design the front-end conversational UI for the Concierge AI assistant, enabling attendees to get personalized session recommendations, way finding, and real-time event support into multi-modal interactions that feel natural and delightful.
- Partner with engineers to integrate generative-AI responses seamlessly into the client layer.
- Concept, prototype, and ship bold interactive experiences for re:
Invent attendees. - Operate in a startup-speed environment: move from sketch to working prototype within days, not weeks.
- Partner daily with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery.
- Advocate for design quality in code reviews, establishing front-end best practices, accessibility standards.
- Communicate technical trade-offs clearly; translate design intent for engineering teams.
- 6+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience.
- Have coding samples in front end programming languages.
- Have an available online portfolio.
- Experience developing visually polished, engaging, and highly fluid UX prototypes.
- Experience collaborating with UX, Product, and technical partners.
- Knowledge of databases and AWS database services:
Elastic Search, Redshift, DynamoDB. - Experience with machine learning (ML) tools and methods.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
