Do you have expertise in it operations and want to become part of one of Bergen's largest it environments? The directorate of fisheries' mission is to promote value-creating business activities through sustainable management of marine resources and marine environment. We collaborate closely with research institutions, industry and other public sector bodies, nationally and internationally.

Do you want to work with the operation of it infrastructure in a complex and exciting public company? We are now looking for a new it colleague to our main office in Bergen. With us, you will be part of the directorate of fisheries' important societal mission related to taking care of life in the sea.

As an employee with us, you will become part of an it department with around 60 employees. Our it department is divided into four sections, and this position is placed at the section for platform and it services. With us, you will become part of an informal and competent team of eight colleagues with broad expertise in client operations, infrastructure, networks and cloud services, where we help each other, share knowledge and cooperate to find good solutions.

We develop and operate specialist systems, platforms and security solutions for both internal and external users. The role provides broad experience in modern it operations and is well suited for those who want to develop further in the it operations field.

We encourage both recent graduates and candidates with some years of experience to apply. With us, you will receive good training through close cooperation with experienced colleagues. You will have the opportunity to develop within modern it operations and infrastructure.

Work tasks in the position:

• operation and management of windows and mac clients

• software deployment and device administration using microsoft intune

• user support and troubleshooting

• network operation

• operation of windows and linux servers

• contribute to automation and improvement of it services

The work tasks will be adapted to your background and experience.

At the section we work among other things with:

• cloud services in azure, entra , office
365, defender and intune

• onprem ad and backup solutions

• servers in own server room

• infrastructure such as network, firewall, switches, wifi

• virtualization platform based on vmware

• network and wan connections to around 20 locations in norway

The position is in bergen, but some travel may be expected.

We are looking for you who have:

• diploma in it operations or relevant it education from college/university. Long and relevant experience can compensate for lack of education

• good norwegian skills both written and spoken (minimum b2).

It is an advantage if you can show:

• experience from team or project work

• good communication skills

• certifications within the fields of azure, windows and linux, but this is not a requirement

We do not expect you to know everything.

The person hired must also be able to be security cleared under the security act.
