Digital Learning & Communications Specialist
The Digital Learning & Communications Specialist is a versatile communications professional responsible for supporting the development, management, and dissemination of digital content across learning platforms and communications channels. This role combines learning management system (LMS) administration, content development, social media execution, and accessibility compliance to ensure high-quality, user-friendly, and compliant materials for both internal and external audiences.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical and creative skills who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Learning Management System (Moodle) Administration
- Content Development & Design
- Social Media & Digital Communications
- Section 508 Accessibility & Compliance
- Project & Team Support
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Attention to detail, particularly in accessibility and compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field, required.
- Two (2) – four (4) years of experience with a learning management system (preferably Moodle or similar LMS), required.
- Experience in communications, digital content, or learning support roles, required.
- Experience creating and managing digital content and social media preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with Section 508 accessibility or willingness to learn preferred.
- Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools, preferred.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) and remediation techniques preferred.
- Experience working in a healthcare, nonprofit, or government contracting environment preferred.
This position is office based at our Jericho, NY office.
The salary range for this position is $68,000.00 – $78,000.00. Actual salary range and /or hourly rate depends on a variety of factors including experience, education, credentials, location, and budget.
