Service Now Developer
Remote Role
Compensation: $55 - $65/hr (DOE)
12-month Contract
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our federal government partner is seeking an experienced Service Now Developer to support an active government contract in a large-scale, mission-critical environment. This fully remote, 12-month contract role is ideal for someone with deep Service Now platform experience who is eager to manage platform releases, coordinate cross-environment deployments, and ensure the integrity of services integrated across the enterprise. You will play a key role in operational readiness, lifecycle management of change requests, implementing standardized release schedules, supporting testing and validation, troubleshooting issues, and serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support daily cross-functional operational readiness of the Service Now platform, ensuring stability and reliability for enterprise-wide services.
- Manage the lifecycle of change requests and coordinate deployments across Development, Test, Staging, and Production environments.
- Define and implement standardized release schedules for emergency fixes, patches, enhancements, and major platform releases using Service Now Change Management and Dev Ops best practices.
- Support regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation of Service Now configurations, workflows, integrations, and custom applications.
- Troubleshoot release, deployment, and system configuration issues using Service Now diagnostic tools, system logs, and performance analytics.
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating requirements into Service Now solutions that meet business needs.
- Monitor platform performance, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend solutions to improve service delivery and user experience.
- Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for Service Now configuration, workflow automation, and integrations.
- Support change management, training, and user adoption activities related to Service Now implementations.
- 10+ years of experience in implementation consulting, customer success, and enterprise platform support within the Service Now ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, or other Service Now platform capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead and participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives).
- Experience translating business requirements into functional/technical specifications for Service Now configuration, workflow automation, and integrations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience supporting UAT, change management, training, and user adoption activities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
