Business Analyst / Product Owner
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst / Product Owner to join our team in a full‑time capacity, working in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high‑quality solutions.
Responsibilities- Conduct calls with customers and maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
- Write user stories and conduct release and sprint planning sessions.
- Develop and maintain user stories in a clear and concise manner.
- Use methods, techniques, and procedures to obtain and evaluate user requirements and design, develop, and implement computer application systems that meet customers’ business needs.
- Create use‑case diagrams, functional flow diagrams, screen mockups, and other wireframes or mockups to illustrate requirements.
- Manage and prioritize product backlog based on customer and business priorities.
- Meet regularly with end users (external clients) to discuss and analyze problem reports and enhancement requests.
- Edit and review documentation produced by team members, enforcing best practices.
- Efficiently host internal team meetings and meetings with customers.
- Manage risk effectively and appropriately escalated issues and risks.
- Provide application production support and troubleshoot production issues.
- Support and develop workflow‑based systems.
- Document meeting minutes, internal and external status reports, and other project artifacts.
- Must have been in the US for the past five years.
- Must have strong Agile experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university with advanced education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical field, or at least five (5) years IT experience as a Business Analyst working hands‑on with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle.
- Experience with wire‑framing or mockup tools to create use‑case diagrams, functional flow diagrams, screen mockups, etc.
- Experience supporting and developing workflow‑based systems.
- Experience writing basic SQL queries to troubleshoot issues.
- Preferred experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) and JIRA for issue tracking and lifecycle management.
- Prior experience in Agile development methodology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Fast learner, ability to multi‑task, problem‑solver, goal‑oriented, willing to learn, with strong writing skills.
- Positive attitude toward work and other people, team player.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
- Successfully pass an MBI government background investigation.
