Note:
Indicates the highest level of expertise in a tool set, such as a “Subject Matter Expert” or “Go‑to person” for all answers and problem resolution of Symantec DLP. Team communication skills and coordination are critical, with a sense of priority and urgency. A proper candidate should currently be performing at L3 support level or at a minimum L2 support in a large‑scale environment with the talent and ability to become L3 support.
The Platform Security Operations group provides a stable, yet agile and dynamic infrastructure platform to support business functional requirements while managing associated risks. The role focuses on provisioning security tools and services to internal client groups. Tool development experience is essential to assist global teams in developing and deploying technology solutions to automate tasks. The position is project‑based, with numerous activities to expand and enhance services within the environment.
Responsibilities- Provide and maintain security infrastructure, ensuring stability by following and using available tools, policies, processes, and procedures.
- Provide reporting and metrics.
- Resolve incidents, investigate, and troubleshoot root causes when escalated.
- Create, review, maintain, and update documentation.
- Undertake problem ownership and project leadership.
- Plan and execute controlled releases into the managed environment.
- Identify areas for automation and scripting to improve processes wherever possible.
Skill
Required:
- Experience with Symantec Data Loss Prevention (Email and Network) – must have.
- Experience administrating and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
- General networking skills including but not limited to firewalls, routing, NAT, SI Model, packet trace and analysis.
- Knowledge of shell scripting.
- Project management skills.
- Interpersonal, communication, flexibility, self‑driven, team‑player skills.
Skill Desired:
- Scripting languages:
Perl or Python. - Basic database knowledge.
- Familiarity with Windows Servers or Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
- Experience with Transporter or Guardium products, Operations Manager 2007 SQL, Oracle.
- Bigfix, SMS/SCCM.
- Working knowledge of Windows 2008/2012.
- Basic web development skills (HTML, JavaScript).
