Salary: 250k to 350k + bonus

2 days remote, 3 days onsite

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled C++ Engineer to design, develop, and enhance exchange connectivity infrastructure supporting electronic trading across global markets. This role is focused on building and optimizing market data and order entry gateways, ensuring reliable connectivity to exchanges, ECNs, and liquidity venues while maintaining the highest levels of performance and resiliency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain exchange connectivity solutions for market data ingestion and order routing. Need experience in either equities, futures, fixed income or commodities.
  • Build and support low-latency gateways utilizing industry-standard protocols such as FIX, OUCH, ITCH, BOE, and native exchange APIs.
  • Develop high-performance C++ applications that process real-time market data and support electronic trading workflows.
  • Optimize network, messaging, and application performance to minimize latency and maximize throughput.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues, exchange certification requirements, and production trading incidents.
  • Partner with trading, quantitative, and infrastructure teams to onboard new exchanges, brokers, and liquidity providers.
  • Implement monitoring, resiliency, and failover capabilities to ensure uninterrupted trading operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Expert-level C++ development experience, including modern C++ standards and performance optimization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of exchange connectivity, market data feeds, and electronic trading infrastructure.
  • Experience working with FIX protocol and native exchange protocols such as OUCH, ITCH, BOE, or similar.
  • Deep knowledge of TCP/IP networking, multicast, UDP, and low-latency messaging architectures.
  • Experience developing and supporting applications in Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and real-time systems.
