Senior Network Engineer

CBTS is looking for a Network Engineer with an emphasis on Fortinet skills to support our Managed Services practice and support our long‑term financial services customer. Job duties include:

• Architect network strategies and frameworks to support cloud, on‑premises, and hybrid environments
• Assess and integrate third‑party solutions including SD‑WAN, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and routers
• Ensure network designs adhere to security best practices, regulatory standards, and organizational policies
• Evaluate and recommend network technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance network capabilities
• Work with business stakeholders, project managers, and IT teams to align network designs with organizational goals
• Drive innovation by proposing and piloting cutting‑edge network technologies

• Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

• 10 years of experience with Fortinet firewalls and products
• Deep expertise in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS)
• Strong understanding of firewalls, load balancers, and VPN
• Experience with scripting and automation

• Proficiency in network design tools
• Experience with software‑defined networking
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
