Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

A Senior Dev Ops Engineer will work with architects and teams at LSEG to develop and maintain complex FX trading applications and cloud services, delivering high availability, cost savings, and security improvements.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, and other teams to design, build, and support trading applications.
• Develop and maintain trading venue and cloud services.
• Create automated processes to detect and resolve service availability issues.
• Identify and implement improvements across cost, security, usability, and reliability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and configuration management.
• Monitor, log, and report on system performance using tools such as Grafana, Datadog, and ELK.
• Deploy cloud compute resources on AWS/Azure and orchestrate PaaS/container environments with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Investigate complex technical issues spanning multiple technologies and deliver timely solutions.

• 8+ years total experience, 5+ years in a Dev Ops or similar role.
• Experience building large‑scale CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.).
• Strong Linux knowledge; build tools such as Gradle/Maven.
• Automation skills:
  Git Lab, Jenkins, Bamboo, or Pipelines; release automation.
• Configuration management experience (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Monitoring, logging, and reporting tools (Grafana, Datadog, ELK).
• Test automation proficiency.
• Cloud compute deployment on AWS or Azure.
• PaaS and containerization with Kubernetes or Docker.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work in a global, distributed team.
• Strong problem‑solving and self‑motivation.

• Experience with AI tooling.
• Strong passion for technology and continuous learning.

Manager

The base salary range is $129,700 – $216,100, depending on location. The role participates in LSEG’s Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) and is eligible for the comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, wellness allowance, and more.
