Corporate Data Steward – Director Level

Our client, a growing financial firm based in Midtown NY is looking for a Data Steward that has experience with enterprise-wide data models to join the CDO and drive accountability and management of data. This role will handle data quality accountability and ownership for their IT, HR, procurement and Legal teams. As the Data Steward, you are the strategic leader and subject matter expert for the Corporate Data Domain.

This is a leader role ensuring that data is accurate, accessible, and aligned with enterprise standards. This role will manage the Data Stewards and Data Quality Analysts on the team.

• Data Strategy & Governance
  • Translate enterprise strategies into actionable data management.
  • Lead new data initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain processes aligned with Enterprise Data Policy.
• Data Architecture
  • Manage the definition of golden sources and systems of record for group.
• Data dictionary
  • Work with stakeholders in defining, validating, and maintaining definitions for data elements.
  • Accountable for metadata within domain.
• Data Quality
  • Support stakeholders in developing and managing data quality controls.
  • Oversee remediation of Data Quality issues and remediation.

• 7+ years experience in Management role (Dir/Exec. Dir)
• 3+ years experience with Data Quality and Data Management
• Deep understanding of IT, HR, procurement, and/or Legal data and systems.
• Fluency in data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles.
• Experience with regulatory, security and legal requirements related to Financial industry.
• Experience with data design, data audit, data governance.
