Senior Lead Business Systems Analyst
This position functions as a key member of the Alt Credit Trading and Fund Investment Technology team, with a specialized focus on Private Markets. The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing scalable business and data solutions that support the evolving needs of Nuveen Private Fixed Income business. This role will lead efforts in requirements gathering, solution design, and business acceptance for new technology, data, and process initiatives.
The role also contributes to roadmap planning, particularly in areas such as data integration, analytics, and reporting frameworks tailored to private asset classes.
- Partner with Private Markets investment teams and Shared Services to deliver technology and data solutions that enhance operational efficiency and investment insights.
- Lead the creation of detailed business and technical requirements for new systems, data pipelines, and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and technical implementation.
- Manage and execute projects or work streams, including planning, stakeholder communication, and delivery oversight.
- Facilitate the transition of new solutions into business-as-usual operations, ensuring proper documentation and training.
- Define and promote best practices for data governance, metadata management, and integration strategies specific to private markets data (e.g., fund-level, deal-level, cash flows, valuations).
- Contribute to the development of technology roadmaps and the evolution of the Private Markets data architecture.
- Maintain and enhance documentation for systems, data flows, and business processes.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of private markets workflows and data, and translate that into effective technical solutions.
- Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience Required

Required Skills:
- 5 or more years leading mid-to-large scale technology projects for an Asset Management, Investment Bank, or a Financial Service organization
- Experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) and Deal Management Platforms in an investment management environment. Familiarity with industry-standard platforms such as Charles River IMS, Charles River for Private Markets, Aladdin or equivalent systems is strongly preferred.
- 3 or more years conducting data analysis to support business or product decisions across the Investment lifecycle
- 3 or more years working across multiple business functions or disciplines
- 2 or more years working within Agile or Scrum delivery frameworks
Preferred
Skills:
- Experience working directly with Investment Teams and Middle Office Support, with working knowledge of private fixed income and loans
- Demonstrated experience managing project risk on multi-workstream initiatives
- Proficiency in SQL/ Snowflake.

Anticipated Posting End Date:
Base Pay Range: $136,000/yr - $180,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
