Salesforce Cloud Technical Architect
Role Summary
- Serve as a pre-sales customer‑facing domain expert, delivering broad technical skills, industry knowledge, and deep business acumen to support sales teams in crafting Salesforce value propositions that align with customers’ digital transformation and cloud adoption strategies.
- Lead design and technical discussions around business and technical requirements, leveraging Salesforce and third‑party solutions, industry‑standard integration frameworks, and Salesforce Architecture methodologies.
- Participate in solution best‑practice delivery, reference architecture development, educational sessions, and industry summits for existing customers, partners, and internal audiences.
- Ability to understand business and IT department requirements, translate business needs into compelling solutions, and present recommendations to executive, technical, and business audiences.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise software applications and their delivery.
- Some coding experience and willingness to work with code (Apex, Node, Go, R, Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, etc.).
- Database and data management fundamentals.
- Web and mobile application development and architecture.
- Application lifecycle management.
- Integration principles and tools.
- Enterprise data management tools and methods.
- Process orchestration.
- Principles of network, application, and information security.
- Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
- Strategic problem solver, thought leadership, and comfort communicating with executive audiences.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to support multiple concurrent projects.
- Lifelong learner, inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge.
- Willing and able to travel domestically.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. Graduate study a plus.
- Experience as an architect, solution engineer, IT consultant, or developer in a customer‑facing role delivering differentiated software technology solutions.
- Experience building, implementing, administering, or maintaining enterprise software (e.g., software engineer, implementation architect, integration architect).
- Understanding of risk mitigation, compliance, and security.
- Experience with design thinking, persona‑based discovery, or other innovation techniques.
- Proven experience in a specific field, vertical, or market segment.
- Knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Salesforce certifications and/or Trailhead Superbadges.

Compensationand Benefits
In the United States, compensation will be determined by location, job level, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. Salesforce offers a variety of benefits including, but not limited to: time‑off programs, medical, dental, vision, mental health support, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, 401(k), and an employee stock‑purchasing program.
For New York‑based roles, the base salary range is $158,200 to $247,730. For California‑based roles, the base salary range is $158,200 to $247,730. For Illinois‑based roles, the base salary range is $143,850 to $247,730.
