Data Management Lead

A leading enterprise organization is seeking a Data Management Lead to build and mature an enterprise-wide data management and governance program. This is an opportunity to establish foundational frameworks, partner directly with executive leadership, and help transform how data is managed, governed, and leveraged across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building programs from the ground up, influencing stakeholders across business and technology, and creating practical governance models that enable innovation rather than simply enforcing compliance.

• Build and operationalize enterprise data management and governance frameworks.
• Establish data stewardship models, policies, standards, and operating procedures.
• Lead Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives and improve enterprise data quality.
• Define and implement Data-as-a-Product strategies that drive measurable business value.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to prioritize enterprise data initiatives.
• Develop metadata management, business glossary, and data lineage capabilities.
• Establish governance councils and cross-functional operating models.
• Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and architecture teams to modernize enterprise data platforms.
• Promote data quality, ownership, and accountability across the organization.
• Support enterprise AI and analytics initiatives by ensuring trusted, governed data assets.

• Extensive experience leading enterprise data management, governance, or transformation initiatives.
• Experience building governance frameworks, stewardship programs, and operating models.
• Strong expertise in Master Data Management (MDM), metadata management, and data quality.
• Experience working with enterprise cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Databricks, or similar).
• Understanding of SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and enterprise data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with BI and reporting platforms such as Power BI, Cognos, or Qlik.
• Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience driving organizational change across business and technology teams.
• Exposure to AI, automation, or modern analytics initiatives.
• Agile delivery or Product Owner experience is a plus.
