We are a fast growing cloud managed services and data analytics provider hiring a Help Desk Engineer Tier 2 to support hedge fund and financial services clients in New York City.
This role is ideal for someone who is beyond basic help desk support and ready to take on light Tier 2 responsibilities. You will support high expectation users across Windows workstations, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra , Intune, endpoint troubleshooting, conference rooms, infrastructure alerts, and user access issues.
The right candidate can independently resolve most desktop, Microsoft 365, identity, application, and user support issues while knowing when to elevate server, cloud, network, or security problems with clear technical context.
What You Will Support- Provide white glove support for end users, workstations, conference rooms, applications, peripherals, and managed IT resources
- Troubleshoot Windows 10 and Windows 11 issues involving profiles, updates, performance, local applications, printers, mapped drives, VPN access, and multi monitor setups
- Administer Microsoft 365 users, licensing, mailboxes, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint permissions, and One Drive sync issues
- Support Entra Active Directory tasks including user creation, group membership, password resets, MFA, access changes, workstation joins, and basic Group Policy troubleshooting
- Assist with Intune and endpoint management tasks including device enrollment, compliance checks, application deployment support, and endpoint troubleshooting
- Monitor ticket queues, infrastructure alerts, backup alerts, endpoint security notifications, and documented system health checks
- Perform routine maintenance, workstation deployments, inventory updates, documentation cleanup, and client environment updates
- Coordinate warm handoffs to senior engineers for advanced networking, server, cloud, or security issues while maintaining ownership of the client experience
- At least 1 year of experience working for a Managed Services Provider
- MSP experience or experience supporting multiple client environments is strongly preferred
- Strong Windows 10 and Windows 11 troubleshooting skills
- Hands on Microsoft 365 administration experience across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, and user management
- Experience with Active Directory, Entra , MFA, file permissions, group membership, and basic Group Policy support
- Exposure to Intune, endpoint management, device compliance, or mobile device management
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, file shares, print services, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, wireless, and basic network troubleshooting
- Experience working in a ticketing system with accurate notes, time entry, prioritization, and SLA awareness
- Strong communication skills with the professionalism needed to support financial services users
- Conditional Access or Microsoft security policy exposure
- Basic firewall, routing, wireless access point, and connectivity troubleshooting
- Virtual desktop, conference room technology, or trading floor support experience
- Experience with endpoint security, vulnerability management, spam filtering, or DNS protection tools
- Support sophisticated financial services clients in a high growth technology environment
- Build stronger Tier 2 skills across Microsoft 365, Entra , Intune, endpoints, identity, and infrastructure support
- Work closely with service desk, infrastructure, implementation, relationship management, and senior leadership teams
