Field Support Technician Associate
The Field Support Technician Associate, under direct supervision, is responsible for assisting with new device installation and providing general support assistance with client-side desktop technology.
Responsibilities- Assist with new device installation and general support for client-side desktop technology.
- Utilize tools and equipment to image, update, and support end-user desktop hardware.
- Install desktop hardware and software onto the corporate network and directory infrastructure as defined by corporate policies and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and installation of hardware and software to end-user desktop devices in a timely manner.
- Maintain strict monitoring, administration, documentation, and escalation of assigned service tickets to ensure defined SLAs are met.
- Ensure compliance by updating asset-management inventory for moves, adds, and changes of deployed hardware.
- Assist with deployment of new end-user desktop hardware as part of project support.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required and travel between facilities.
- Maintain professional communication at all times, ensuring accountability through timely follow-through and escalation as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, or a minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Continuing education in a related field of study (preferred).
- Certifications such as A+ (General Desktop Support Technician) or equivalent.
- Strong customer-service orientation, teamwork, initiative, and exceptional judgment.
- Ability to achieve time-based objectives, balance multiple priorities, and communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
- Logical problem-solving capability.
