Overview
Application Support Analyst – New York • $175,000
Harrington Starr has partnered with a leading international brokerage to recruit for an Application Support Analyst to join their Support function based in New York. This role is hands-on and requires strong business and technical knowledge, with excellent communication skills and exposure to essential tools and financial domain knowledge.
Responsibilities- Provide hands-on application support within a capital markets environment.
- Engage with front-office systems and support tooling in Windows and UNIX/LINUX environments.
- Utilize scripting (Power Shell or Python) to automate tasks and improve processes.
- Work with database environments including MSSQL, Oracle or Sybase.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively resolve incidents and support users.
- Good understanding of Finance with experience within Capital Markets.
- Experience working in a Windows environment.
- Power Shell or Python scripting experience.
- Experience with MSSQL, Oracle or Sybase databases.
- Exposure to UNIX/LINUX environment.
- Experience with Front Office Support.
