Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy Computer Support Technician to join our NICHE operations team for an immediate 3-month contract. This role perfectly bridges the gap between hands‑on desktop/hardware troubleshooting and back‑office system administration. In this position, you will be the primary point of contact for users navigating our Learning Management System (LMS) and internal tech resources. You will manage incoming support queues in Salesforce, execute critical data uploads, maintain hardware/software setups, and resolve baseline technical anomalies.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for data integrity, a background in technical customer service, and the ability to confidently troubleshoot across both application software and physical hardware.

Key Responsibilities
  • LMS Administration & Provisioning: Execute bulk user uploads, data merges, and account creations; audit CSV/Excel data rosters to ensure error‑free system access and correct user role mapping.
  • Technical Ticket Management: Manage the full lifecycle of technical support cases within Salesforce Service Cloud, ensuring all user incidents, module resets, and access requests are tracked and resolved within SLAs.
  • Hardware & Software Support: Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform basic repair of workplace hardware, peripheral devices, and desktop software configurations. Set up workstations and install software adhering to organizational standards.
  • System Help Desk & Diagnostics: Analyze, evaluate, and diagnose technical anomalies within the LMS and surveying platforms (tracking errors, course progression blocks, enrollment mismatches). Escalate complex bugs to engineering or external IT teams when necessary.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Verify user eligibility for system access according to company policies. Pull, format, and distribute technical reports and user transcripts for internal team members.
  • User Training: Orient and guide internal staff and end‑users on operating technical equipment, system navigation, and basic computing procedures.
Position Requirements
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an IT Help Desk, Technical Support, Application Support, or Data‑Driven Clerical track.
  • Ticketing Systems: Direct proficiency using Salesforce or a comparable enterprise CRM/ticketing platform for queue management and routing.
  • Advanced Data Formatting: High comfort level manipulating, cleaning, and formatting data rosters in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, text-to-columns) for system uploads.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Solid baseline understanding of computing procedures, desktop configurations, hardware diagnostic tracking, and basic software installations.
  • Communication

    Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical resolutions clearly to non‑technical users and collaborate with central corporate IT departments.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; formal technical training, certifications, or coursework in Management Information Systems/Computer Science is a plus.
Upon completion of waiting period consultants are eligible for:
  • Medical and Prescription Drug Plans
  • Dental Plan
  • Vision Plan
  • Health Savings Account
  • Health Flexible Spending Account
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
  • Supplemental Life Insurance
  • Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance
  • Business Travel Insurance
  • 401(k), Plus Match
  • Weekly Pay
