Who You Are
Do you love building tools that eliminate manual work and fundamentally change how teams operate? Are you energized by turning ambiguity into scalable systems and helping others adopt new ways of working?
Risk & Insurance is evolving its operating model to support significant growth while improving efficiency. This role is central to that transformation, helping the team move from manual, fragmented workflows to scalable, technology-enabled operations. By combining hands-on building, team enablement, and operational execution, this role will unlock how the organization works.
This is not a traditional operations or analyst role. You are a builder. Someone who turns manual workflows into automated systems, data into usable infrastructure, and ideas into real, working solutions.
As the AI Enablement Manager for Risk & Insurance department, you will act as a force multiplier across the function. You will design and build AI-powered workflows, enable teams to adopt new tools and ways of working, and help evolve how the function operates at scale.
This role sits at the intersection of people, process, data, and technology, and plays a critical role in helping Risk & Insurance scale output and complexity without linear headcount growth.
Your Success Profile
This Role Operates Across Three Core Areas
Build
- Design and build AI-powered tools, automations, and workflows that improve speed, accuracy, and scalability across Risk & Insurance
- Identify manual, repetitive processes or friction points and replace them with automated, low-code, or AI-driven solutions
- Prototype and implement solutions using tools such as SQL, Python, APIs, and low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Airtable, Zapier, Gumloop, etc.)
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Revenue Operations when solutions require deeper system integration
- Map and maintain an inventory of manual, repetitive processes across Risk & Insurance, prioritizing opportunities for automation based on impact, frequency, and complexity
- Act as a thought partner to leadership on how AI and automation should reshape workflows across:
- Health underwriting
- Workers' compensation underwriting
- Operations & Claims
- Business insurance
- Design and lead a department-wide learning/experimentation strategy that levels up core skills in:
- Low-code/no-code tooling
- Applied AI in Underwriting & Operations (prompt design, automation use-cases)
- Upskill team members through hands-on training, real use cases, and embedded support
- Run initiatives that normalize experimentation, iteration, and feedback loops (hackathons, cohorts, hives, experimentation sessions)
- Create a community of builders across the team; lead this collective group in automating processes and launching self-made solutions
- Execute operational reporting workflows, including:
- Creating and running queries and pulling structured datasets
- Formatting and delivering reports to insurance carriers
- Improve data accessibility and process efficiency to support the broader Risk & Insurance
- Identify opportunities to automate this work, reducing manual operational effort over time
As an AI Enablement Manager, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization. In this role, your foundational knowledge, skills, abilities and personal attributes are anchored in the following:
- Business Insight:
Applying knowledge of the marketplace and business to advance the organization's goals. - Detail-oriented: Being organized, thorough, accurate, and productive, and seeking to understand both the cause and effect of a situation.
- Clear Communication: The ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using written, oral, visual, and non-verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills to gain understanding.
- Analytical:
Using a logical reasoning process to break down and work through a situation or problem to arrive at an outcome. - Initiative and Motivation: Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked or before the situation requires it.
