Data Center Operator​/System Technician

Role Overview

As a Data Center Operator supporting various health programs, you will be trusted to work on monitoring mainframe and mid-range systems as well as disaster recovery. This role will be in Rensselaer, NY. This is a floating position to cover for additional future needs as current staff retire.

• Providing monitoring, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support of information systems, applications, and related peripheral hardware.
• Performing all required hourly and daily system checks in accordance with prescribed schedules.

The chosen candidate should be able to work either one of the provided shift schedules. Candidate will be required to obtain a security Full BI clearance.

• High School diploma/GED
• 0 or more years of experience with Mainframe applications (ZEEK, ZEBB, SA, CA and/or IBM products) in an operations team environment
• Enterprise IT proficiency
• Familiarity utilizing an ITSM tool such as Service Now
• Intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Exposure to or ability to learn: JCL (Job Control Language), ATL (Automated Tape Libraries), and tape media
