Role Overview
The Storage Automation Engineer will be responsible for managing the global data protection and archiving software and hardware. This includes ensuring operations run consistently and that data is backed up or archived within agreed service level agreements. The engineer will provide technical guidance to other members of the team or peers.
What You Will DoEnsure alignment for policy, process, procedures, software configuration and hardware types across all 3 regions. Maintain standard documentation and ensure adherence to the global standard is followed. Maintain 100% service uptime. Stay abreast of industry trends and business needs.
Why It Might Be a FitThe candidate will be expected to have significant recent experience of administrating or building one or more traditional storage solutions and one or more software-defined storage solutions. The candidate is preferred to have experience of enterprise backup solutions.
Requirements- 10+ years’ experience of block and file storage
- 8+ years’ experience of backup solutions
- Experience administrating solutions within a regulated environment, i.e. Financial Services
- 3+ years’ experience of S3 object storage solutions
- Red Hat/CentOS and Windows operating system knowledge
- Network, F5 load balancer and firewall knowledge
- Public cloud provider exposure. AWS mainly
