Programmer ​/ Analyst

Care Connect’s network has grown to more than 20,000 providers at hospitals and physician practices throughout downstate New York.

• 1. Works with end users, Senior Programmer/Analysts and Business Analysts to define business problems and design solutions.
• 2. Works with end users, Senior Programmer/Analysts, and Business Analysts to design new workflows, systems, programs and reports to improve the operations of the organization.
• 3. Performs systems analysis to ensure the feasibility of proposed new programs/reports or program/report modifications.
• 4. Assists in creating documents necessary to allow end users to evaluate proposed new programs or program modifications.
• 5. Develops software code, as needed.
• 6. Assists in generating test plans to allow thorough testing of new programs/reports or program/report modifications.
• 7. Participates in the creation of necessary documentation, including end user documentation, procedure manuals and associated run sheets.
• 8. Assist in developing training materials required as part of the implementation process and participates in the delivery of training.
• 10. Performs related duties as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, required.
• Minimum two (2) years experience as a Junior Programmer / Analyst, required. Prior managed care experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL and Visual Studio tools, required.
