Location: New York
Hire Breakthrough is recruiting an experienced DB2 Database Administrator for a New York City government agency that supports mission‑critical payroll and financial systems.
This is a full‑time, on‑site role in Manhattan (35 hours per week). The salary range is $75,000–$160,000, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes health coverage, a pension plan, and a deferred compensation plan.

Support and maintain DB2 databases on an IBM z/OS mainframe — including installations, migrations, tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting — across the agency's core payroll and financial systems. You'll work closely with application development and technical support teams and take part in disaster recovery planning.
What we’re looking for:Proven experience administering DB2 v12 (or higher) on an IBM z/OS mainframe
Strong background in database tuning, backup and recovery, and migrations (runstats, reorgs, and similar)
A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, plus relevant experience (equivalent experience will be considered)
Must be authorized to work in the United States; this role does not offer visa sponsorship
