Mac Support Associate

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Mac Support Associate for our client, a rapidly growing healthcare technology company in New York City! This is a 3-6-month contract opportunity (with strong potential for permanent conversion) offering a hybrid schedule (3 days/wk onsite).

• Provide L1/L2 technical support for end users, with a strong focus on Mac/macOS environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve Mac hardware, macOS, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues
• Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Mac Books and other Apple devices
• Manage employee onboarding/offboarding, including device provisioning/deprovisioning, account setup, application access, and equipment recovery
• Administer and support Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, and Zoom
• Manage Mac devices through JAMF and support endpoint configuration, policies, applications, and security controls
• Resolve tickets through the ticketing platform and provide hands‑on support through Slack
• Maintain accurate IT inventory, asset tracking, and hardware lifecycle management
• Support Zoom Rooms, conference room AV, and other workplace technology
• Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, and connectivity
• Document technical issues, solutions, and IT procedures to improve the overall support experience

• 3+ years of IT Support or Service Desk experience
• Strong hands‑on experience supporting Mac/macOS users and Apple hardware
• Experience troubleshooting and deploying Mac Books in a business environment
• Experience with JAMF or another Apple device management platform strongly preferred
• Startup or MSP experience a plus
• Experience administering Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, and Zoom
• Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as Jamf or Intune
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to systematically diagnose unfamiliar problems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a hands‑on, user‑focused approach
• Preferred:
  Okta/JAMF certifications, Uni Fi experience, automation/scripting experience, and exposure to SOC 2 and/or HIPAA environments
• Key Requirement:
  Candidates should have meaningful professional experience supporting Mac/macOS environments .
• General IT support experience without hands‑on Apple/Mac support experience will not be sufficient for this role.

This contract position offers an hourly rate of $40-55/hr, commensurate with experience.
