Position: Scrum Master - II (USD)
Location: New York

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to support a high-impact technology value stream focused on driving Agile delivery, team performance, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can coach cross-functional teams, remove delivery blockers, and help strengthen Agile maturity across complex projects.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and program-level planning activities to keep teams aligned and delivery on track.
  • Coach Scrum teams on Agile principles, best practices, and self-management to support high performance.
  • Partner with Product Owners, delivery leaders, technology teams, and business stakeholders to coordinate priorities and execution.
  • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and cross-team collaboration forums.
  • Track team progress, delivery metrics, and reporting to maintain transparency and visibility.
  • Identify risks, impediments, and process gaps, then help drive practical solutions and remediation actions.
  • Mentor teams across development, testing, business analysis, Dev Ops, user acceptance testing, and integration activities.
  • Promote effective use of Agile tools and work management platforms to strengthen team delivery practices.
  • Encourage the thoughtful use of AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, documentation, planning, and execution.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
Skills
  • 8+ years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile delivery role.
  • Strong technical foundation with prior hands-on experience in software development, testing, requirements gathering, or related delivery functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor Agile teams across multiple disciplines and levels of technical depth.
  • Experience supporting complex projects and coordinating work across multiple teams or work streams.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and delivery metrics such as velocity, burndown, and predictability.
  • Proficiency with Agile work management tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to analyze delivery challenges, identify root causes, and support remediation efforts.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience as required for the role.
  • Ability to work with professionalism, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Skills
  • Scrum Master certification.
  • Experience with Ativo or other AI-enabled productivity tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and other AI-assisted work tools.
  • Experience in insurance or financial services environments.
  • Background supporting service-oriented architecture (SOA) initiatives.
  • Experience facilitating large workshops or cross-functional working sessions.
  • Exposure to release train or scaled Agile environments.
  • Comfort mentoring teams on improving delivery through thoughtful use of emerging technology.
