Overview:As a key contributor, you will be responsible for engineering, automating, and maintaining enterprise-level Windows Server infrastructure across on-premises, VMware, and Azure environments. Your work will support high availability, security, and operational excellence, ensuring our client’s infrastructure remains scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs. You will develop standards, automate processes, and lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues, supporting a fast-paced retail environment that operates around the clock.
Required Skills:- Extensive experience with Windows Server environments (Server 2016, 2019, 2022, or newer) in mission-critical settings
- Proficiency in VMware infrastructure including vCenter, ESXi, and vSphere clusters
- Strong scripting expertise with Power Shell for automation and configuration management
- Knowledge of Azure infrastructure services, including VMs, virtual networks, storage, and hybrid connectivity
- Hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems (e.g., Pure, Exagrid) and backup platforms such as Veeam Backup & Replication
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage complex infrastructure projects
Skills:
- Experience with cloud-native automation tools like Terraform, Bicep, Git, and Azure Dev Ops
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra , and related Microsoft identity platforms
- Knowledge of security controls and compliance standards such as SOX and PCI-DSS
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering is a plus
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise Windows and infrastructure engineering roles
- Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for escalations and maintenance
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with onsite presence required four days a week at a location in central NJ.
