Senior Systems Engineer

• Administer and support enterprise Open Shift clusters hosting critical business applications
• Perform monthly patching and maintenance across Open Shift and RHEL environments
• Implement security-related changes and maintain compliance with enterprise standards
• Monitor platform health and identify operational risks and performance concerns
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues with development teams
• Provide production support for business-critical systems and services
• Administer and maintain RHEL servers supporting enterprise applications
• Support and troubleshoot applications running on Linux platforms, including JBoss, Tomcat, Solr, and RabbitMQ
• Support AIX-hosted application environments including Ingenium and Lawson
• Develop and maintain Puppet-based configuration management and CI/CD processes
• Automate operating system configuration, application deployment, and installation activities
• Design, build, and support secure B2B file transfer solutions using Bash scripting
• Administer GPG and SSH keys and automate secure file transfer jobs
• Maintain TLS certificates across Open Shift and RHEL platforms
• Build and support disaster recovery capabilities, restoration procedures, and testing
• Participate in infrastructure modernization, dependency mapping, system assessments, and Azure migration readiness
• Lead or support complex troubleshooting and high-severity incident resolution
• Create technical documentation, dependency maps, and recovery runbooks
• Mentor peers and contribute to engineering-team knowledge sharing

• Must reside in the Omaha metropolitan area
• 8+ years of overall IT experience
• 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering, platform administration, or infrastructure support experience
• Strong experience administering Open Shift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
• Experience supporting enterprise applications hosted on Linux and AIX platforms
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Puppet
• Strong Bash scripting and process automation experience
• Experience managing SFTP, GPG, SSH key administration, and secure file transfer services
• Experience managing TLS certificates and secure endpoint configurations
• Experience supporting disaster recovery planning, documentation, and testing
• Experience participating in infrastructure modernization, migration readiness, or cloud transformation initiatives
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work independently and effectively across technical and business teams
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred

Demonstrates extensive experience in administering Open Shift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments, with strong skills in Bash scripting, configuration management using Puppet, and secure file transfer management. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and support disaster recovery planning and execution.
