position summary:
the selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data within the eam hexagon and spear 4i environments. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining database queries, custom searches, business rules, pivot tables, and job schedulers across both sql server and oracle platforms. The role includes supporting and maintaining spear 4i clients integrated with oracle 9i, 11g, and 12c databases, and leveraging kezava and power bi dashboards to analyze inspection and maintenance patterns that drive effective work‑order generation.
Additional responsibilities involve updating data records, creating custom work orders, and designing inspection and maintenance patterns within the eam system. The candidate will collaborate closely with field maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues, resolve user concerns, and ensure reliable system performance.
responsibilities:
- maintain and support spear 4i client applications interfacing with oracle 9i, 11g, and 12c databases.
- utilize kezava and power bi dashboards and reporting tools to analyze inspection and maintenance trends that inform effective work‑order planning and generation.
- update and maintain data records within the eam environment, including creating custom work orders and designing inspection and maintenance patterns.
- develop and implement workflow automation solutions using power automate and power apps to streamline and optimize key business processes.
- collaborate regularly with field maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues, resolve user concerns, and ensure seamless system functionality.
- support continuous improvement of eam processes by identifying data gaps, proposing enhancements, and ensuring accuracy and reliability of system outputs.
education and experience:
computer specialist iv (software)
- a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in computer science or a related computer field, and two years of satisfactory full‑time computer software experience in computer systems development and analysis, applications programming, database administration, maintenance and support, systems programming, data communications, mainframe development, mobile development, web development and design, including one year in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project;
or - afour‑yearhighschooldiplomaoritseducationalequivalentandsixyearsof satisfactory full timecomputersoftwareexperienceasdescribedinʺ1ʺabove, includingoneyearinaprojectleadercapacityorasamajorcontributorona complex project;or
