Position: Digital Marketing Coordinator – Mexican Summer – New York
Location: New York

Mexican Summer is seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator who will be responsible for maintaining digital operations and executing content strategies across various digital platforms. This role involves implementing social strategy, managing digital platforms, coordinating content posting, and assisting with project organization and asset management for album campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage label + managed artist social channels, newsletters, webstores, links, and ecommerce integrations (Tik Tok, Instagram, etc); ensure optimization across all platforms and make updates based on best practices and data
  • Edit and create digital assets (especially short-form video) in line with label and artist content strategy, optimizing for various platforms
  • Serve as the administrator for all campaign release materials, collating, organizing, and distributing assets to internal teams and external partners
  • Coordinate artist onboarding for social and ads platforms
  • Assist with multi-channel ecommerce and retail marketing campaigns; manage customer service inquiries (inboxes, social DMs + comments, etc)
  • Oversee logistics of content scheduling and posting, ensuring assets and copy are optimized and approved (inclusive of Instagram, Tik Tok, newsletters, and other relevant channels)
  • Engage in daily social listening by summarizing trends/opportunities, responding to comments and DMs, and providing relevant feedback to artist and label teams
  • Stay updated on industry trends, feature updates, and emerging platforms to make recommendations for developing effective content strategy across all channels
  • Assist in developing content strategy as an integral part of campaigns
  • Collaborate closely with all departments to ensure alignment on content requirements, strategy, and implementation across social platforms
  • Collaborate with artist teams and internal stakeholders to understand the artist’s story, music, and social media behavior; assist with artist questionnaires and visual inspiration resources for translating campaign creative and artist vision to content strategy
  • Conduct project-level research for influencer marketing campaigns and manage content creator outreach across individual releases and channels
  • Manage day-of digital release mechanics, ensuring all relevant artist and label platforms are updated on release days
Requirements
  • Preferred 1-2 years experience in digital marketing, social media management, or a related role in the music industry, preferably at a record label.
  • Design and content creation skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, in-app video editing tools).
  • Proficiency in social media and ecommerce/CRM platforms (Shopify, Bandcamp, Mailchimp, etc.) — analytics tools (e.g., Chartmetric, Feature FM, CO:BRAND, Spotify for Artists) a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity and enthusiasm for Mexican Summer artists, and adventurous contemporary music.
  • Must be able to work out of our Brooklyn office (3 days per week).
Compensation

A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered, commensurate with the role and the relevant experience of the final hire. Base salary for the role depends on the job-relevant knowledge, skills, abilities, education and relationships of the final hire and is anticipated at an annual rate of $60,000. Benefits include:
