Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive entry level System & Network Administrator to join our IT team to support daily operations and enable teams to work effectively. You will assist in setting up, maintaining, and supporting our network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal network performance. You will also support basic hardware troubleshooting for the teams in the building.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in troubleshooting network issues and provide timely technical support to end-users.
- Monitor network performance and respond to alerts to minimize downtime.
- Maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Document and track network incidents and resolutions using a ticketing system.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to implement network upgrades and improvements.
- Participate in the installation and configuration of network hardware and software.
- Support basic hardware troubleshooting on a daily basis.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in a network support role is a definite plus.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Team player with good approachability and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Chinese is a must (Cantonese is a plus); ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
