Now, we're scaling and looking for a seasoned IT Engineer to oversee the IT function as well as policies, strategy, and operations to protect against cyber threats and ensure compliance with regulations.

Ping Pong currently has 38 offices in 15 countries and over 1,500 employees. Our international presence helps businesses solve complex payment needs in every major economy across all time zones.

WHAT’S THE CHALLENGE?

You will be responsible for controlling the company’s IT function to ensure effective performance and to guarantee the protection of confidential data from our customers.

WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH

This position will report directly to the IT Director.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Provide hardware/software maintenance for the IT infrastructure.
• Responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of quality IT services to internal users.
• Responsible for technical IT support and troubleshooting.
• Responsible for the company’s IT deployment and changing management processes.
• Assess and administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
• Protect the integrity and availability of the company’s servers
• Responsible for managing cloud services in the US.
• Manage relationships with IT vendors in the US.
• Responsible for ensuring the company’s adherence to IT regulations for regulated Payment Institutions.
• Liaison with internal and external auditors.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 5+ years of progressive experience in information technology, ideally in a start-up/fintech/Payment Service environment.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud computing, Linux and Python.
• Strong knowledge of network devices such as Firewall, Switch and Router.
• Self-starter with ability to flourish in high-pressure environments
• Organised, autonomous, and pragmatic with sound judgment
• Experience with regulatory compliance issues

WHO YOU ARE

• Educated with a relevant degree in a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• Customer-focused, you can’t imagine working in any other way, and it’s the only way to achieve our goals.
• Equally at home in both strategic IT planning and hands-on execution.
• Fluency in English, Chinese (Mandarin) proficiency is a strong plus.
• Ability to drill down, persistent and never-give-up spirit.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills – able to influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel from time to time to the Ping Pong headquarters in China.
