Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
10 or more years of experience working as a mainframe manager in a medium to large-scale enterprise environment.
Strong expertise with mainframe technologies, including z/OS, CICS, DB2, and IMS.
Experience overseeing system programmers or mainframe technical teams.
Experience managing daily mainframe operations, workload distribution, scheduling, task delegation, and performance management.
Experience planning and coordinating mainframe hardware upgrades, including processors, DASD, and VTS systems.
Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON and SMF analytics.
Experience supporting disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
Knowledge of mainframe security frameworks.
Experience collaborating with storage, network, and data center operations teams.
Ability to drive modernization initiatives, including automation, performance tuning, and workload optimization.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong initiative, self-motivation, and ability to independently research, identify, and implement solutions.
Excellent oral, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to document and explain technical issues clearly.
Willingness to work after hours and weekends as needed.
Ability to maintain 24/7 availability and responsiveness when required.
Ability to ensure adherence to technical policies, standards, and security requirements.
