The Senior Technical Architect Information Technology serves as a senior technical expert responsible for leading the design, build, optimization, and delivery of Epic Patient Access and Experience solutions across New York-Presbyterian’s enterprise environment. Provides deep application expertise ensuring that registration, scheduling, and patient movement operate reliably and efficiently across various contexts. Translates operational and clinical needs into scalable Epic configurations balancing hands-on build with strong collaboration and communication skills.
Translates clinical content UI/UX design within Epic, developing intuitive strategies, decision support and guided scheduling workflows that enhance scheduling efficiency and drive a more seamless patient experience. Defines build standards, promotes best practices, and ensures a consistent, high-quality configuration across sites and teams. Trusted by clinical, administrative, and technical stakeholders, the role plays a key part in improving access, enhancing operational throughput and supporting NYP’s digital strategy.
Collaborates with enterprise technology teams and affiliated institutions ensures coordinated, high-performance EHR systems that meet organizational and patient needs.
Job Duties
- Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to assigned system(s), and provides technical informational support to Information Services staff as well as end users. Provides consultation on projects and is considered to be a technical expert for assigned system(s).
- Researches, plans, and designs interfaces between a wide variety of systems to support clinical and business needs of the Hospital and Physician Organizations. Works with other members of the team to inform on the prioritization and delivery dates. Develops, tests, documents, and implements changes and enhancements to existing interfaces, support scripts, or other changes to the interface engine environment.
- Participate in key user committees to identify business requirements and recommend solutions which conform to organizational goals and regulatory guidelines.
