Senior Technical Architect - Cyber Resilience Technical Architect

NY Presbyterian Hospital seeks a Senior Technical Architect – Cyber Resilience to join its team on a 12-month contract basis, working hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) from the New York City location. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and operating cyber resilience strategies and recovery architectures to protect critical healthcare infrastructure against ransomware and destructive cyber threats.

• Design and implement comprehensive cyber resilience strategies with emphasis on ransomware prevention, detection, and recovery within large, complex healthcare environments.
• Develop and operate Isolated Recovery Environments (IRE) and clean room cyber recovery platforms spanning on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Architect assume-breach scenarios, including strategies for loss of production trust, large-scale system encryption recovery, and incident response planning.
• Lead ransomware recovery efforts including incident response, recovery execution, and formal cyber recovery simulations.
• Design hybrid and cloud-based recovery solutions leveraging Azure and on-premises environments.
• Implement identity and access recovery considerations specific to cloud environments and healthcare compliance requirements.
• Develop and deploy automation, scripting, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code solutions to enhance cyber recovery workflows and operational resilience.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and business continuity teams to ensure recovery architecture aligns with organizational objectives.
• Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) initiatives across healthcare systems and applications.

• Required
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, recovery architecture, or cyber resilience roles within large, complex environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) program design and execution.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing cyber resilience strategies focused on ransomware and destructive cyber events.
  • Deep understanding of assume-breach scenarios, including loss of production trust and large-scale system encryption recovery.
  • Experience supporting ransomware recovery efforts including incident response, recovery execution, and formal cyber recovery simulations.
  • Proven hands-on experience designing, building, and operating an Isolated Recovery Environment (IRE) or clean room cyber recovery platform across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Healthcare environment experience and familiarity with healthcare-specific compliance and operational requirements.
  • Experience architecting and implementing hybrid and cloud-based recovery solutions using Azure.
  • Knowledge of identity and access recovery considerations in cloud environments.
  • Experience using automation, scripting, orchestration, or infrastructure-as-code to enhance cyber recovery workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with the following technologies:
    • VMware VCF and Horizon VDI
    • Cisco UCS and Cisco networking infrastructure
    • Ever Pure SAN and Dell Power Scale NAS
    • Pure Storage
