Program OverviewThe I.T team supports key agency applications such as case management, HR, finance, CRM, and city-mandated systems, enabling efficient operations and informed decision-making. Through strong governance, system optimization, and user support, it empowers staff with the tools needed to deliver services effectively.
Job Summary:Henry Street Settlement is seeking a hands-on IT Data Systems Administrator to help modernize and support the technology platforms our teams rely on across 50+ programs in social services, education, arts, and health care, reporting to the Director of Information and Technology. This role is ideal for someone who combines hands‑on systems administration with strong stakeholder partnerships who can translate operational needs into well-governed, secure, and user-friendly technology solutions.
You will work closely with program teams, organizational leadership, vendors, and IT colleagues to administer systems, improve data quality, support technology adoption, and ensure platforms are governed consistently with Henry Street standards.
- Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and/or enterprise SaaS and business applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Online, One Drive, and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra , including users, groups, permissions, and access management.
- Experience administering or supporting enterprise business applications such as case management, CRM, HRIS, client services, or other line-of-business systems.
- Experience managing application access, roles, permissions, configuration, user accounts, and application support.
- Understanding of data governance, access control, retention, security, and compliance principles.
- Experience producing reports, validating data accuracy, and troubleshooting data-quality issues.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ownership of assigned systems, projects, and operational responsibilities.
- Ability to translate technical concepts and system requirements for nontechnical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, follow established governance and change processes, and communicate risks, dependencies, and blockers appropriately.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, SC-400, or equivalent.
- Experience working in nonprofit, healthcare, education, human services, or other multi-program environments.
- Experience supporting migrations from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365.
- Experience with SharePoint information architecture, site design, metadata, permissions, and governance.
