IT Support Engineer

We are looking for a highly capable IT Support Engineer to join a technology team at a fast-paced trading firm in New York.

You’ll provide hands-on technical support to traders, developers, and business teams in a demanding, high-performance environment where reliability, speed, and attention to detail are critical. You’ll work closely with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to ensure our users and trading operations have the technology they need to perform at their best.

• Provide high-quality, hands-on technical support to traders and employees across the firm.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, connectivity, and application issues.
• Support Windows workstations, laptops, monitors, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Configure and maintain trading-floor workstations and multi-monitor setups.
• Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra , endpoint management, and collaboration platforms.
• Respond rapidly to incidents affecting critical users and business functions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network and connectivity issues in partnership with infrastructure teams.
• Set up technology for new hires, including accounts, hardware, software, and access permissions.
• Manage user moves, equipment changes, and employee offboarding.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and technical documentation.
• Work with vendors and technology partners to resolve hardware and software issues.
• Contribute to IT projects, system upgrades, automation, and process improvements.
• Follow robust security, change-management, and incident-management procedures.

• Experience in IT support, desktop engineering, or infrastructure support.
• Experience supporting users in a financial services, trading, investment banking, or similarly high-pressure environment is highly desirable.
• Experience with Active Directory/Entra  Microsoft 365.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and general networking.
• Experience supporting enterprise hardware, peripherals, and multi-monitor environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, service-oriented approach.
• Ability to remain calm and methodical when dealing with time-critical incidents.
• Willingness to work on-site and provide occasional out-of-hours support when required.

You’re someone who takes ownership. When a trader has a problem, you don’t simply log a ticket—you investigate, communicate clearly, and drive the issue through to resolution.

You’re comfortable operating in an environment where minutes matter, priorities can change quickly, and technical reliability directly impacts the business. You also understand the importance of security and discretion when working with sensitive financial systems and information.

Experience with Power Shell, endpoint management platforms, scripting/automation, or low-latency trading environments would be an advantage.
