PC Deployment & Migration Technician - Onsite

10 is currently seeking a PC Deployment & Migration Technician for a contract to hire position with an enterprise organization located in Glenmont, NY. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

The PC Deployment & Migration Technician supports enterprise workstation migration and device deployment initiatives. This role is responsible for preparing, deploying, configuring, validating, and supporting laptops, desktop computers, peripherals, and related end-user technology. The technician will work directly with employees during migration events, workstation refreshes, and onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Deploy, configure, and support Windows laptops and desktop computers Perform workstation replacements and technology refresh activities Image, provision, configure, and validate new devices prior to deployment Migrate users to new laptops, including profile configuration, application setup, and connectivity verification Assist users with login issues, MFA enrollment, password resets, and workstation access Validate functionality of business applications after device deployment Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, One Drive, and other enterprise productivity tools Coordinate hardware distribution, collection, shipping, asset tracking, and inventory management activities Document deployment activities, issues, and resolutions within Service Now or designated ticketing systems Provide white-glove support to end users during migration events and scheduled cutovers Assist with printer, peripheral, docking station, monitor, and mobile device setup Support office relocation and site migration initiatives Maintain accurate asset management records and chain-of-custody documentation Escalate technical issues to engineering, endpoint management, or infrastructure teams as required Participate in migration planning, staging, and hypercare support activities Primary Requirements: 2+ years of desktop support, field services, deployment, or workplace technology experience Experience deploying Windows 10/11 workstations Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra , and multi-factor authentication Familiarity with laptop imaging, software deployment, and endpoint configuration

Experience with Service Now or other ITSM platforms Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 50 pounds Ability to travel between office locations as needed Desired

Skills:

Experience supporting large-scale PC refresh or migration projects

Experience with Microsoft Autopilot and Intune Knowledge of asset management and inventory control processes Experience supporting printer deployments and office technology rollouts CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent experience Experience working in enterprise environments with 500+ users Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis
