We are seeking an experienced Web Sphere Administrator to support production maintenance and implementation of critical government HR/Payroll systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer IBM Web Sphere tWAS & Liberty on Linux/UNIX, including server.xml, bootstrap.properties, and jvm.options.
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and troubleshoot middleware and applications.
- Support IBM MQ, IBM HTTP Server, Web Sphere Message Broker, Web Logic, and Cognos
. - Use Git and Ansible for source control, automation, configuration management, and application deployments.
- Support Jenkins/Cloud Bees, CI/CD, Dev Ops, and Configuration-as-Code environments.
- Troubleshoot Java/application issues, SQL/database issues, and perform Root Cause Analysis
. - Support large-scale enterprise environments and provide 24x7 production support
, including nights/weekends as required. - Work independently, prioritize tasks, document solutions, and communicate effectively with technical teams.
- 5+ years of Middleware Administration experience.
- Strong experience with Web Sphere tWAS & Liberty and Linux/UNIX.
- Experience with Git, Ansible, middleware upgrades, and production troubleshooting
. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field + 4 years relevant experience; OR Bachelor’s degree + 8 years relevant experience; OR equivalent education/experience in datacenter, cloud, or complex IT infrastructure engineering/operations.
Preferred: Jenkins/Cloud Bees, Dev Ops, Configuration-as-Code, IBM MQ, Web Logic, Cognos, and related middleware experience.
