The experienced Senior Database Administrator will oversee the administration, maintenance, performance, security, and availability of enterprise database platforms supporting critical business applications. The Senior Database Administrator will work closely with Application, Infrastructure, and Development teams to maintain reliable database operations, troubleshoot production issues, implement enhancements, and support strategic technology initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for a Senior Database Administrator with strong Microsoft SQL Server expertise, performance-tuning experience, and a proven ability to troubleshoot and support enterprise database environments.

• Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and storage utilization.
• Perform database backups, restorations, and recovery activities.
• Conduct disaster recovery testing and database maintenance.
• Troubleshoot performance issues, blocking, deadlocks, and data-related incidents.
• Implement database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Monitor production database health and performance metrics.
• Investigate and resolve database incidents and performance alerts.
• Support Application teams with database issues and deployments.
• Review capacity trends and proactively address database requirements.
• Participate in migrations, upgrades, project meetings, and operational improvements.

• Strong experience as a Senior Database Administrator supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability technologies.
• Knowledge of database security, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with infrastructure, application, development, and business teams.

• Experience supporting database migration and modernization projects.
• Storage and infrastructure integration experience.
• Automation experience using Power Shell, T-SQL, or similar technologies.
• Experience with enterprise database upgrades and operational improvements.
• Experience supporting disaster recovery and high-availability initiatives.
• Ability to proactively identify database performance and capacity concerns.

• No specific education requirement.
• Equivalent professional experience in database administration, information technology, or a related technical field may be considered.
