Soni's client is seeking a Head of Enterprise Monitoring & Observability to build and lead its enterprise observability practice. This leader will define and execute the observability vision, operating model, and multi-year platform roadmap while driving modernization, automation, and operational intelligence.
The ideal candidate combines strong technology expertise with proven people leadership and has experience transforming observability capabilities within a large, complex enterprise environment. This role requires strategic roadmap ownership, platform/product leadership, deep monitoring and telemetry expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple technology and business teams.
Key Responsibilities- Define and execute the enterprise observability strategy, operating model, and multi-year roadmap.
- Build and mature an enterprise-wide observability practice across infrastructure, cloud, applications, and technology services.
- Own observability platforms, including modernization, tool rationalization, lifecycle management, and service improvements.
- Establish enterprise standards for monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, telemetry, alerting, and service health
- Manage strategic technology partners, suppliers, contracts, platform investments, and cost optimization.
- Ensure observability platforms and services are scalable, resilient, secure, and continuously improving.
- Lead the development and implementation of operational intelligence and AIOps capabilities.
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure operations, platform engineering, observability, reliability engineering, SRE, or related technology disciplines.
- 5+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale technology, engineering, platform, or operations teams.
- Demonstrated experience building or significantly maturing an enterprise observability practice within a large-scale organization.
- Strong experience defining and executing multi-year technology/platform roadmaps
. - Demonstrated platform or product ownership experience, including strategy, lifecycle management, modernization, and adoption.
- Deep expertise in monitoring, observability, telemetry, logging, metrics, distributed tracing, alerting, and operational analytics.
- Hands-on experience with Open Telemetry and modern telemetry architectures.
- Experience modernizing technology stacks, rationalizing tools, and implementing automation and self-service capabilities.
Compensation: $110,000 to $180,000 annually
