Job SummaryThe Data Analyst/Scientist will support customer analytics and digital products by analyzing large utility datasets, including advanced metering, customer billing, and digital engagement data. This role will identify trends, anomalies, data quality issues, and opportunities while developing dashboards and reports that support business and customer-facing products. The position will collaborate with Product Owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to validate data, support integrations and testing, and translate complex findings into actionable recommendations.
Job Responsibilities- Analyze large utility datasets, including AMI usage, customer billing, and digital engagement data.
- Review and validate data extracts, dashboards, and multi-source datasets for quality issues, anomalies, trends, and common themes.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
- Track customer engagement, product performance, billing outcomes, and other key business metrics.
- Support analytics for customer-facing digital products, including rate recommendation and bill comparison tools.
- Analyze historical usage and billing data to support digital product functionality and improvements.
- Monitor website and digital product engagement metrics, including page views, clicks, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, engineers, and business subject matter experts on data integrations, testing, validation, and product improvements.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support recurring reporting and communicate insights to business partners.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes, and customer experiences.
- 2+ years of professional data analysis experience, including analysis of large data extracts or datasets.
- Hands-on experience with utility industry data and AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) data is required.
- Experience analyzing utility customer usage data and identifying trends, anomalies, common themes, and data quality issues.
- Hands‑on experience with Power BI for dashboards, reporting, and data visualization.
- Experience working with large, multi-source datasets.
- Databricks experience is preferred.
- Strong data validation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a regulated environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical findings into clear business recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder collaboration and multitasking skills.
- Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) data or tools experience is preferred.
- Google Analytics or digital engagement analytics experience is preferred.
- Experience developing dashboards, visualizations, recurring reports, or customer‑facing digital product analytics is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required.
