Overview
Account Executive - Project Risk at American Global. We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our Project Solutions team. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities and expanding relationships with existing clients in the construction insurance sector, with emphasis on the concept, design, and execution of Controlled Insurance Programs and other project and program needs to deliver comprehensive risk management solutions tailored to clients' needs.
Responsibilities- Client Relationship Management and New Business Development:
Identify key stakeholders within clients’ organizations, build strong relationships, present custom risk management solutions, and collaborate with clients to identify unmitigated risks and cross-sell compatible products and services. - Risk Management and Program Design:
Analyze client risk profiles, review upstream contract insurance requirements, design compliant insurance programs, provide feedback on terms, develop and deliver final project exposure requests and applications for underwriters, and assist sponsors in wrap-up program bid methods. - Carrier and Underwriter Engagement:
Maintain knowledge of carrier underwriting appetites, negotiate favorable terms, obtain and evaluate coverage quotes, respond to underwriter inquiries, and lead risk presentations to markets. - Proposal and Policy Management:
Lead the preparation and approval of proposals, including executive overviews, and convert proposals into formal summaries post-binding with timely, accurate billing. - Team Leadership and Delegation:
Support responses to RFPs, monitor team progress, and guide project execution and insurance solution development. - Ongoing Client and Program Support:
Oversee Special Account Client Instructions (SACI), review financial reports for accuracy, and maintain financial health and program success. Perform additional responsibilities as required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on construction-related risk management and Controlled Insurance Programs.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Knowledge of carrier markets, underwriting appetites, and negotiation strategies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork.
- Proficiency in insurance management software and tools.
- Technical understanding of wrap-up administration processes.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply construction contract insurance provisions and policy language.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or related field.
