JCW is currently recruiting on behalf of a global, mutli-line reinsurer looking to add an SVP Head of Claims position to their team in greater New York City. In this position, you will oversee claims across P&C and Financial Lines (E&O and D&O), oversight of TPA relationships, and involvment in complex, high severity matters.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of 4-6 claims professionals, maintaining strong technical standards and service delivery.
- Oversee claims handled by TPAs, ensuring compliance with authority, service agreements, KPIs, and internal guidelines.
- Manage complex P&C and Financial Lines claims from intake through resolution, including investigation, liability analysis, reserving, and settlement strategy.
- Analyze coverage under applicable policy forms and clearly communicate determinations to insureds, brokers, and MGAs.
- 10+ years of claims experience (D&O and E&O experience preferred).
- 5+ years overseeing MGA and/or TPA relationships
