Evaluates risks for business vehicle insurance, analyzing applications, financial data, and driving history to set premiums and coverage, collaborating with agents, and ensuring profitability by balancing risk and reward while adhering to company guidelines and regulations. Key duties involve assessing new and renewal policies, negotiating terms, monitoring existing business, and providing excellent service to brokers, focusing on growth and risk management for the insurer.

This position will work independently with limited supervision requiring proven expertise in General Liability (preferably with Excess & Surplus Lines Experience) to be successful in role.

• Pricing tool and Quote / Binder workbook – completing the pricing tool and pricing of the accounts. Preparing quotes & binders to release to brokers.
• Figure out proper terms and exclusions that are unique to each account.
• Full negotiations with brokers and/or agents.

Vetting of submissions – New and renewal business. Includes analyzing the risk, loss runs, exposures, terms, profit, and loss statements, emails, and calls with the brokers.

Marketing – Brokers/Agency in person and virtual visits. Cultivate existing and new relationships to support the goals of the business unit. Coordinate special projects as assigned. Assist the management team with mentoring, training, and development of other team partners. Serve as technical expert.

Bachelors degree preferred but not necessary. 7 plus years commercial underwriting experience preferably E&S. Strong communication skills. Professional designations a plus (CPCU,ALI, ASLI) but not required. Salary,, 401K, Hybrid after training. (DC13067)
