With full control over underwriting and an in-house reinsurance platform, the firm is redefining how large, complex construction programs are structured and managed. The organization supports programs exceeding $10M per deal and is backed by a team of more than 120 professionals.

Hybrid (NYC | 3 days per week in office)

Role Overview

This is a senior-level underwriting role with ownership of complex commercial construction accounts. You will play a key role in underwriting strategy, broker engagement, and long-term portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite large and complex construction insurance programs from submission through bind
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and key clients
• Analyze risk exposures, develop pricing strategies, and structure reinsurance-supported coverage solutions
• Partner closely with actuarial, claims, and risk management teams to drive profitability and retention

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction insurance underwriting experience, preferably with large or specialty accounts
• Strong broker and client relationship management experience
• Deep technical underwriting expertise and sound risk judgment
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related discipline
