** Senior Claims Examiner – General Liability*
* ** New York / New Jersey (Hybrid – 3 days in office)** **$142,000 – $168,000 base + 15% bonus + full benefits
** A leading insurance carrier is seeking an experienced
** Senior Claims Examiner
** to join its General Liability team. This is a senior-level technical role handling complex Commercial General Liability claims across a diverse portfolio. You will manage mid to high-exposure claims from first notice through resolution, with a strong focus on coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and stakeholder management.###
Key Responsibilities
* Handle complex CGL claims including
** premises liability, slip & fall, product liability, bodily injury, and construction-related matters
*** Lead coverage investigations and draft detailed coverage position letters independently
* Manage litigated files, coordinating defense counsel and driving strategy through to resolution
* Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure on higher-severity claims
* Maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with company guidelines and industry best practices### Qualifications
* 5+ years of Commercial General Liability claims experience
* Strong exposure to coverage interpretation and litigated files
* Experience handling
** New York Labor Law and/or Construction Liability claims highly preferred
*** Background with a reputable carrier or law firm
* Bachelor’s degree required; industry designations (AIC, CPCU, etc.) are a plus### What’s on Offer
